The Ottawa Beavers and Banshees RFC

The Ottawa Beavers-Banshees Rugby Football Club is the founding rugby club in Ottawa, and the oldest in Eastern Ontario.
​
Founded originally as the Ottawa Beavers in 1951, the club amalgamated with the Ottawa’s oldest women’s rugby club the Ottawa Banshees in 2002 to form the Ottawa Beavers-Banshees Rugby Football Club.

Today, we are an independent community association who promotes rugby within the Ottawa area by encouraging members to participate in casual, privately insured rugby activities at the community-level. We encourage anyone looking to participate in competitive league play in the Rugby Quebec provincial leagues to join the Rugby Club of Ottawa.
