Unfortunately, Rugby Ontario has withdrawn its authorization for this event. As a result, the Club must cancel the scheduled skills series described below.
Refunds have been issued to all registered participants.
We sincerely apologize for disappointing all the players who were eager to join us for this memorable event, and the Club Executive will be exploring the feasibility of hosting the series again in the spring, should conditions become more amenable.
We are very thankful to all the Club members who stepped up to offer their time to volunteer for the event, and we owe appreciation to our partners with the Aces, Gee-Gees and Ravens for their continued support.
The OBBRFC will explore the the feasibility of hosting this event in the spring, should conditions become more amendable.
The OBBRFC is pleased to welcome back rugby with Tuesday Night Lights!
Please join us for a series of skills clinics at Ottawa's TD Place. Each session will be hosted by some of the city's top-level coaches from local programs such as the uOttawa Gee-Gees (Women & Men) and Carleton Ravens (Women & Men) rugby programs, as well as the Ottawa Aces.
All activities will be taken pursuant to our COVID-19 safety protocols (to be shared with registrants in advance of the sessions), and drills will be structured according to all applicable distancing & sanitation measures.
A photographer will also be present to ensure all participants receive pictures of themselves training at this prestigious venue.
Who can participate?
The sessions are primarily directed at improving the skills of junior-level male and female athletes aged 13-18, and players from all clubs are welcome to attend (pending registration).
Spaces will be limited to comply with public gathering limitations, and registration will close once all spots are filled.
Senior players (19+) may participate, but must contact us prior to registration in order to confirm availability.
Registration and Costs
Participants may register from our website at www.obbrfc.com/join
Registration fees are set at $150, and include the cost of Rugby Ontario insurance (which covers them for rugby activities until April 2021). As always, if financial reasons are the only thing holding you back from participating, please contact us.
