Saturday, July 6 was scheduled to be the OBBRFC's Annual Club Day Festival, and all five Beavers and Banshees teams were originally supposed to play a quintuple header on the Twin Elm front pitch for a full day of OBBRFC rugby action.
Unfortunately, EORU's junior scheduling has continued to be a problematic issue this season, and the junior games will not take place along with the senior matches as originally scheduled. As a result, we are heading into a CLUB WEEKEND (!!!) as the senior games will be played on Saturday, while the junior teams will play the Ospreys on Sunday, July 7.
We encourage all players, friends and family members to come out and cheer on any and all of the games taking place over the weekend, and to join us in the Dip and Trip pool party event on Saturday night!
Additionally, the Club wants to ensure we maximize opportunities for the seniors and juniors to participate in events together, so we will be hosting a Junior Appreciation Night later in the summer. On Wednesday, August 7, the senior men and women will come cheer on the junior teams against the Bytown Blues, and then treat the kids to some tasty snackies at a nearby restaurant.
