GAME RECAP: NOV 6

The Beavers played their final friendly of the fall against their OG rivals from Westmount, marking a 70th anniversary rematch of the first-ever game of Beavers rugby back in the fall of 1951.

It's always a fun time to play with Westmount, and we were happy to help them get their first game of XVs rugby on the books since covid started (also making them the first team in Qubec to do so).

Coach Shaggy's record-keeping was a bit sketchy given the fact that he 'was on the field, playing' but we had tries by Evan, David, Shaggy, Cummer and maybe Vincent? with a conversion or two from Glenn.

Men of the Match went to Evan and Vincent, with hardest worker to Glenn and a special nod to Finn Coughlan for playing his first game of men's rugby.

Whatever exactly the score was, we ended up coming up a point short to conclude the match, so we would like to give a shout-out to our own Chris Sparks for the try he put in against us while on loan to the Ravens.
