The OBBRFC is pleased to announce the return of our junior rugby programming for the 2022 summer season.
Eligibility
The junior boys and girls teams are open to players aged 14-18 years old (born in years 2004-2008).
Past experience is not required, and we have built in a window of graduated build-up to introduce new players who may not have a high school rugby season this spring.
Location and Overview
Non-contact practices will then start of May 18 on Wednesday evenings at Glebe Collegiate (a great option for players who do not have high school rugby this spring), and will expand to Mondays and Wednesdays in June as contact is gradually introduced into training. Practices will typically begin at 6:30PM and lasts until 8PM.
Games are expected to be a series of mini-tournaments with 3 or 4 other teams, tentatively taking place in the mornings of July 9, 23 and August 6.
There will also be a series of rugby 7s tournaments in September.
Costs
The cost is $165 for the summer and covers registration in all club activities until end of April 2023, as well as a t-shirt and team shorts and socks.

Equipment
Players should ensure they have cleats (plastic soccer cleats are fine) and a mouth guard. They will be provided with their own set of team shorts and socks, and jerseys are issued on game days.
