The Beavers and Banshees are launching their new Referee Scholarship Program in order to boost the number of officiating staff registered to the OBBRFC for the 2019 season.
Two deserving members of the OBBRFC (preferably one Beaver and one Banshee) will be given a full ride to ref certification - the scholarship will pay for the cost of the referee course, your NCCP enrollment, and your referee registration with Rugby Canada – to a value of approximately $450!
We will also be partnering with the Eastern Ontario Referee Society in order to assist with continued mentorship and development.
Given that you also get paid to ref games, this is a pretty sweet investment!
Scholarship recipients will be expected to make themselves available for the pre-season referee course (Sunday, March 24), as well as to ref OBBRFC games should the Club need a match official on short notice.
