As Ontario enters Stage 3 of its reopening plan, Rugby Ontario has released the process for Clubs to apply for sanctioning to run rugby activities. The Beavers and Banshees took them up on this opportunity and submitted their (lengthy) application a few hours later.
We have now received confirmation from Rugby Ontario that our application has been accepted, and that the Club will be authorized to return to play. Please stay tuned in the coming weeks for information on official events and registration details.
While this is a big milestone, we need to continue managing expectations. There likely won't be any real rugby in the immediate future, but we will hopefully be able to look forward to some touch rugby, and potentially some skills stuff through the fall.
It is going to be a long road to recovery, so we thank everyone in advance for bearing with us as we get things going.
