RUGBY TRAINING RETURNS
Updated: Jun 11
The Ottawa Beavers and Banshees are pleased to announce that we will be bringing rugby back for the 2021 season!
The Club will be running Tuesday and Thursday training sessions as of June 21, and it will continue for the rest of the summer. This year, all training will be centralized at Glebe Collegiate, and we will be focused at maximizing participation with a balance of fitness, skills, and fun games pursuant to the Rugby Ontario Return To Play protocols.
At present, the Club is following the staged reopening plans of the provincial government so group limits and contact restrictions are in effect, but will hopefully be improving as the as vaccinations and COVID conditions continue to improve through the summer months.
Training is co-ed, and open to both juniors (13-17) and senior (18+) players.
We will post a list of COVID safety protocols a few weeks before training starts, and we will host a virtual Introductory/Walkthrough session the week before training, in case people want the lowdown before they show up to practice.
Registration costs are set at $75 for junior players. For senior players, registration costs $150, However, in recognition of the various financial hardships that many of our members are facing due to the pandemic, we have posted discount codes on our Join page that people can use to reduce their dues if they feel they need it (honour system, folks). As always, if costs still pose a problem for you, please contact Shelagh to work out an arrangement so we can get you playing again.
Plus, as per tradition, everyone who registers gets also gets a club t-shirt!
Our Club registration portal is now live and can be accessed from the Join page of our website. You can also check out the new Summer 2021 section of our site for a full breakdown of our summer plans and COVID information (it will also be updated periodically as the situation unfolds).
If you have any questions, please contact us firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are super excited to see everyone soon!
