The Juniors ended their fall 7s season with the WHITU 7s tournament at Twin Elm. The tournament is a huge draw to some of the best junior 7s teams across the province, and they gave our squads some stiff competition.
The Junior Beavers tied their first game, and then narrowly got edged out in their next two games against some superb teams. Notwithstanding the 0-2-1 record, the boys ended up finishing as the top-ranked boys team in Ottawa.
The Junior Banshees likewise went up against some strong competition. Although they were bested by Brantford and Kingston, they made a statement with the Ottawa-area teams beating the Ospreys and Lanark/Scottish squads.
All around, great fun was had over the past month with the fall 7s series, and we are hopeful to turn this into a regular fall season in future years.
