The Beavers 1st XV went into the semifinals as the fourth and final seed in the EORU play-off brackets, facing off against the top-seeded Ottawa Irish. And what. a. show. The men have been putting in three nights of practices for the last few weeks, and the work paid off. Everyone did exactly what they needed to do, and we capitalized on opportunities coming out with an early lead. The Beavers found themselves down by a point with two minutes left in the game, and Glenn Roy - not content with already being the hero of the game - sniped a penalty kick to bring the boys back into the lead to close the game. The Beavers now advance to the EORU league finals next Saturday where they will be hunting for hardware.
