Beavers I opened their season against the Ottawa Ospreys (née Indians) with a decisive victory, taking the game 82ish to nothing. It was a big showing from the men's team, and sets a great tone for the summer.

Beavers II officially had a bye week, but went to Carleton Place to play a few friendlies against Brockville and Lanark. Both games ended it tight losses, but it was a good warm-up for the 2s against some great levels of competition as they look ahead to their season opener next weekend.

Banshees travelled to Kingston to open their season against the Panthers. The first half of the game was a bit rocky, but the Banshees showed perseverance to regain their composure and shut down Kingston's attacks through the second half, and they scored a few tries of their own along the way. Their set pieces were dominant, and the women stole multiple scrums and line outs, and the ladies kept grinding to the end of the match. Notwithstanding the score, it was a highly competitive game.
