Beavers Is and IIs played the Montreal Wanderers at Twin Elm in two very entertaining matches.
The 1st XV took an early lead in the game and then held on through some gritty defensive work. With three wins under their belts, the 1s now look ahead to keep building on their work in preparation for what will surely be a tough match against St Lambert next weekend.
Beavers IIs played a very solid game with some serious defensive work in their own end zone for a good portion of the game. They missed a few scoring chances and the offense started to click as the game went on, but the boys ultimately fell short by a try and couple of conversions. It was a close and well-fought match by all accounts.
Banshees travelled to Quebec City to take on the CRQ 2s team. The CRQ women always put up a very strong showing, and they started the first half looking to make a statement. The Banshees regrouped for the second half of the game and pushed for an epic comeback, rallying to put 22 points on the board through the final 40 minutes. Great show of perseverance and hard work for the women, and the closest score they've put up against CRQ in memory.
