Banshees had a weekend off from regular FRQ league play, but the Banshees 2s combined with Lanark to form the Lanshees for an EORU mini-tournament in Perth. The Lanshees tied the Ottawa Phoenix and then won against Petawawa (after lending them a handful of players).

The Beavers 2s were supposed to take a roadie out to play Petawawa for their EORU season debut, but unfortunately Pet was short on numbers so the game was a forfeiture. Thankfully, the Rugby Club de Montreal was able to send their 2nd side up for an exhibition to fill to the space so all of our guys were able to get some game time this weekend. The first half of the game was neck and neck, but the second half was a bit of a struggle as a few yellow cards added to some growing pains with a lot of new bodies adjusting to the game systems. Overall, it was a good match and great to finally get the 2nd XV a full 80 minutes of 2s-level rugby for the first time since 2019.

The Beavers 1st XV then played against RCM 1s in our second match of the FRQ season. The first half ended with the Beavers trailing by a few points, but the boys were able to maintain composure and find our offensive firepower in the second half in spite of a heavy number of penalties and yellow cards, and they put in another 29 points in the back 40 minutes to dig their way out from behind and secure the win with an offensive bonus point. Penalties notwithstanding, the men played a really solid game, and things are really starting to come together as we notched our second win in our second game of the season.
