A great weekend of fall rugby was had!
The senior men took on the Scottish/Lanark/Ospreys combo team on Saturday. The game opened with a first XV roster that would have looked good in the summer season, and then we began subbing guys in around half through the rest of the game. The Beavers absolutely commanded the first half of the game, putting up a number of tries and controlling all aspects of the game against their opponents. The second half was a bit more balanced as we subbed new guys through their positions as they continue to get back into the swing of the game. It was great to see nearly 40 players out for a fall game, and a big thanks to Jordan for stepping up to help our opponents fill their lineup.
The women returned to Twin Elm on Sunday for a rematch against the combined Ottawa Team. It was a good match as the women bounced back from the previous week with a growing roster, and their continued hard work at practice helped them snatch a win from the [rest of the city]. Shoutout to Erin who made her Banshees debut filling in for the other team, as well as Eva for jumping in with the Ottawa Combo team for the 2nd half.
